DESCRIPTION:with Mrs. Emily Labaton \nIn celebration of Israel’s 70th anniversary we will explore the history of Zionism from its earliest moments in the 19th century through the establishment of the state in 1948. \nWe will examine Zionist voices both in Europe and in the Middle Eastern Jewish communities. \nAn especially exciting focus will be on some of the unsung heroines of the early years of Zionism and their vital contributions to the development of Israel today. \n4 week course\nMondays April 23\, April 30\, May 7 & May 14\n1pm-2:30pm \n$60 members only
